Oneplan has created their insurance to be cuddle-worthy. This means they do everything they can to make your life easier, from incredible routine care benefits and a smart claims system.

So what makes Oneplan insurance pawfect?

Oneplan takes your pet’s health very seriously and they have designed their insurance to allow your pet to receive the best possible care available but to ease the financial stress associated with vet care as well.

Here’s how they make their pet insurance right for your doggo…

Smart claims system

When it comes to visits to the vet and routine care claims, Oneplan continues to innovate. They have created the smart claims system (must this be caps – is it the name of it?) that fronts you with the cash you need before you see your vet. (Oh and by the way, they also let you go to any vet of your choice.)

When you become a part of the Oneplan family, they will send you your own unique Onecard. When it comes time to visit your vet, they will preload this card with the funds you need for the vet visit. It’s all about convenience.

The highest annual cover limits

If you do a little digging into what other pet insurers are offering, you might find that Oneplan’s pet health care plans offer one of the highest annual benefits. The maximum overall annual limit for your pet claims is one of the highest compared to other pet insurers. The annual cover limit is an average of R45 000 and the annual cover limit for our Pet Super Plan is R65 000. Routine care is included in the comprehensive plans.

Oneplan includes routine care benefits in your monthly premium. Other insurers will typically charge an additional amount for routine care benefit to be added to your pet insurance plan.

What is routine care and what does it include?

Routine care visits are check-ups and forms of preventive care.

These include:

●          Sterilisation

●          Consultations for and/or vaccinations, deworming and flea control

●          Anal gland expression

●          Teeth scaling and polishing

What plans include routine care?

The Oneplan Pet Classic Plan costs R690 per year and our Pet Super Plan cost just R820 per year.

Pre-existing conditions cover

The majority of pet insurers will not include cover for pre-existing conditions. These are health issues that your pet showed signs of or was diagnosed with BEFORE your cover began. The cost of treating pre-existing conditions can put a huge strain on your budget. Other insurers exclude these conditions, but with Oneplan, after abiding to our waiting period of 12 months, your pet is covered. This is just a small amount of time when it comes to treating serious health issues over a long period.

Research, research, and more research Finding a pet insurance plan that suits your pet’s needs and your budget is something that is quite personal and requires a lot of research. But remember, never base your choice on price alone. Cheaper isn’t always better when it comes to ensuring the health of your pet. Some insurers might offer a great price in terms of monthly premiums, but there are often several hidden terms and conditions within your policy that you might not be aware of. Make sure you read the fine print and choose an insurer that is best for your wallet and your pet’s health.
